Résumé

Samantha was a guest at her uncle David's wedding to Jennifer. She though the wedding was cool but the reception was turning out to be a total flop. The bridal couple were having a conversation so they were not up dancing which meant that the rest of the guests were waiting for them to get on the floor.  Finally Samantha lost patience and decided to take matters into her own hands. She got up and danced solo around the musicians who matched her movements to their music.  Suddenly Samantha was no longer on the dance floor.
She had danced into her imagination.  She danced up the steps to castles in the air; across bogs where the frogs croaked; through forests where the ferns grew in the cool shadows; through a  park which the people had forgotten; across the ocean waves as they tossed her safely to the shore; flying above the streets over the moonlit rooftops; climbing a stairway to the stars; and coming down to earth where she was jostled by the crowds who shopped in the malls.
Then she was on the wedding dance floor where everything had changed.
