Résumé

The town of Wannabe has been neglected for years. The towns people were too busy with many important things to take care off their surroundings. There were weeds growing out of gutters so the rain water went everywhere else. Buildings which were painted in bright colours years ago were now drab and grey. The roads were full of potholes big enough for a horse to fall into. And the beautiful plants in the town park died when everybody forgot that they needed water.     The one dark night everything turned grey.
The land, the sky, the water, the people and the animals were not spared. The townspeople were horrified. Many flocked to the local eye doctor to have their eyesight checked, some went to church to pray, some went to the local tavern to drink and dance and the rest of the people blamed the mayor and the council for the disaster. Finally they asked the town wizard, George, if he could reverse the grey spell.    George was a young and inexperienced wizard.
He spent most of his time trying out new spells, most of which didn't work. He was not confident that he could reverse the grey spell. But the townspeople persisted, so he promised to try. He started to consult his books of spell cures, trying out this and that.     Meanwhile a young girl, Rhiannon, who was a passionate artist, did many drawings of the grey town and everything in it. One day the colours of the town appeared in Rhiannon's drawing and for a brief moment the town had colour again.
The townspeople  were very excited and wanted Rhiannon to keep on drawing. She did but became so tired that she fell into a deep sleep. Her frantic parents called on George to wake her up. This time his spell to wake her up was successful. And at the same time his spell to restore colour to the town worked.  After that the people spent a lot of time caring for the town so that it never went grey again.
