The Yellow Dog

A local wine merchant is shot dead after leaving the Admiral Hotel in the coastal town of Concarneau. When Superintendent Maigret arrives to investigate, he finds the townspeople in a state of panic. One by one, prominent citizens are being attacked. Poison has been discovered in drinks at the hotel bar. The local paper doesn't help matters either, with scare-mongering articles asking 'Whose turn next?' What links the victims? And what is the down-trodden waitress, Emma, hiding from Maigret?
