An estate on the line. 1976. Duval Harlington, recently released from prison in France, is on his way home. Memories of the family estate helped him through his darkest days, so he is dismayed to find Muchmore in chaos. For Duval's despicable father has died. The estate is Duval's, with one caveat : the young Lord must be married, or else lose everything... A marriage of convenience. With only two days to find a wife, devoted bachelor Duval is prepared to walk away.
But then he stumbles upon a wife sale. Duval is horrified by the sight of women being bought and sold like chattels. Then someone catches his attention... A bride with a hidden past.
