In this faithful adaptation of Bach's popular keyboard work in three distinct movements, all players serve in a variety of roles as soloist, as a small soloistic group within the ensemble (concertino), and as a tutti (ripieno) ensemble. For the sake of authenticity, all of Bach's original instructions, embellishments and articulations have been included and adjusted as necessary. Instrumentation : 4 saxophones (SATBar) BWV 971
