Résumé
Transformative Teaching in Supportive Learning Environments inaugurates the CASCEV Studies in Education series, a scholarly platform dedicated to advancing research and reflective practice in education across Africa and beyond. This collective volume brings together contributions from educators, researchers, and policy experts engaged in rethinking teaching and learning processes in light of the profound challenges shaping contemporary education systems.
Drawing on empirical studies and contextual analyses from Cameroon, the chapters explore critical issues such as teacher professionalism, curriculum innovation, learner-centered pedagogy, formative assessment, guidance and counselling, and the integration of digital technologies in education. Through a combination of theoretical insights and field-based perspectives, the volume emphasizes the need for supportive learning environments that nurture critical thinking, creativity, and inclusion.
The contributors collectively argue that transformative teaching is not merely a pedagogical technique but a moral and intellectual commitment to fostering meaningful learning experiences. Designed for scholars, teacher educators, curriculum specialists, and graduate students, this book offers both conceptual depth and practical orientation. It reflects CASCEV's mission to promote evidence-based educational reform and to build a vibrant academic community grounded in research, innovation, and collaboration.
