It must not be supposed because this is termed the Sixth Volume of the "Astrology for All" Series, that the study of the five former books need necessarily precede the use of this. On the contrary, the steadily widening demand for astrological literature necessitated the addition of a simpler volume to this now well-known series; and the favourable reception that was accorded to the first edition of this book, especially by practical students and professors of astrology, shows that it filled a real want and supplied information that was needed in actual practice.
As stated in the Explanatory Introduction on page xiii, this book is intended for the use of those who have no knowledge of Astrology at all, as well as for those who are already students of some experience. However, a few inquiries that have reached the author, chiefly from beginners who have not quite understood the purpose of the work, make it desirable to explain what it is not as well as what it is.
