Tumba runs to Rutah carrying a snake-bite victim. Suzonne assists Rutah in the man's emergency care. In the middle of treatment, Ziya and Derk suddenly appear with their team of horses in a wagon loaded with slaves. The evil Ziya challenges Rutah with a blood-curdling rant. Suzonne is coming of age, her carnal knowledge is limited. She becomes insecure of her attributes with regard to Andre. He is surprised that she does not know her many qualities. Suzonne shows Andre the slaves chapel where they discover a voodoo doll made to resemble a white man. Who is it? Suzonne introduces herself to a woman she has only seen from afar.
