Résumé

If the greatest threat to your wealth in your 20s was yourself, and in your 30s was your partner, what do you believe it will be in your 40s? That's right, your kids. However, we can beat the temptation to overspend on our children by living on a budget. Experts have proven that only having one parent work in the workforce gives our marriage the best chance of survival. Just because we only have one spouse working outside the home doesn't mean we only have one income stream.
We can create multiple income streams from inside the house, leading to a better household environment. Lastly, we need to defeat the urge to keep up with the Joneses in the neighborhood. Our focus needs to be solely on saving and investing for our future and our children. Although we take life seriously, we can still have a fantastic time with our family and friends. Taking care of our finances also creates an environment of love.
