Plus, he pictured himself waving a .45 calibre revolver as he sat astride a galloping white horse while pursued by savage feather-adorned Indians.
Defying his father's wish for him to follow in his steps and become a banker, he makes a $1, 000.00wager with an old school classmate that he could spend twelve months living and working in the West. Train and stagecoach travel sees him end up in Santa Fe. He obtains a job with the Wells Fargo freight company. He becomes mixed up with bad company, and his exciting adventures seehim involved in stagecoach holdups, travelling the Santa Fe trail, befriending a whore and much more.
Shootouts, killings, and prison time in an army fort are all experienced by the daringyoung man.
