Résumé

New York City Detective Robert Matson receives the complex case of an ex-Russian agent walking into a hospital and saying someone had killed him. At first, skeptical of the man's claim, Matson learns that the Russian is a CIA informant who has been spilling the beans about KGB operations. Matson and his partner, Harvey Smith, have their work cut out for them to sift through the characters that have swirled around the man and the unexpected physical evidence they uncover.
They immerse themselves in a community that doesn't trust the police and is riddled with secrets. The case becomes more complicated when someone tries to assassinate both detectives. The question of why is less important than the need to protect their families, forcing the detectives to relocate them out of state. Matson and Smith are once again caught in the web of spies and the world of the CIA, Mossad, MI6, and the KGB.
Matson's Case No. 6 has more twists and turns than the rollercoaster at Coney Island. But what do hot dogs and popsicles have to do with solving this case?
