Résumé

Fatal Exception 404A Y2K Comedy of ErrorsBy Sasha FinchWhen the clock struck midnight on December 31st, 1999, most people held their breath and expected planes to fall, banks to implode, and toasters to declare independence. What they didn't expect was Montreal glitching backward through time, pigeons teleporting, and a compliance manager forming a paper-based dictatorship. Maxwell Finch, IT tech, custom-PC builder, underground CD burner, and unofficial archivist of everything worth saving, was ready for the usual Y2K nonsense.
He was not ready for reality to buffer like a dying modem. When the world rolls back to 1900 protocols and electronics forget the future exists, Max becomes the only person with the hardware, the knowledge, and the panic-induced motivation to reboot the century. With a German psychology student who analyzes disasters like weather reports, a coworker who thinks shorts are a year-round lifestyle, and a villain who worships carbon paper, Max races across a broken Montreal to save the timeline.
Along the way: lagging pigeons, analog militias, a cow-spotted Gateway 2000, and the single most important Cher remix ever burned onto a CD-R. This is the Y2K you were never warned about, chaotic, funny, strangely heartfelt, and dripping with late-90s nostalgia. It's a story about the tech we loved, the world we almost lost, and the guy who tried to fix reality with a modem scream and a dance beat.
A comedy. A glitch. A reboot button disguised as a mix CD. Welcome to the millennium.
