In the book "Luxembourg Wealth Management - Job Contract"  CEO Mohamed Hosen, Mazars Luxembourg was cited for saying: "Nothing ever happens. Perhaps we have to pay some money!". In our first volume the Compliance case against Huawei and its CEO Meng Wanchou was discussed based on media reporting. In this second volume the reader can familiarise himself with the indictment. Bear in mind, however, that the fundamental rule is that anyone is presumed innocent until found guilty by a court of law, according to Fifth Amendment of the United States Constitution.
Similar rules formally govern most European countries. The next step is for a hearing whether the Canadian courts acceptthere is probable cause that CFO Meng Wanchou violated also Canadian law and can be extradited to the United States. Ms Meng is facing a hearing 6 Feb 2019 on extradition to the United States for trial.
