From these longstanding inquiries, various theories on human nature and the factors influencing individual and collective destinies have emerged. Among them, the "Two Systems" theory-proposed by Maryam Rajavi in the context of efforts to liberate humans and Iranian society from the yoke of religious fascism-opens a new window and a distinct perspective toward this understanding. This theory, by outlining two fundamental approaches to humanity-the "Right System" and the "Left System" or "Unity System"-analyzes how we perceive ourselves, others, and the surrounding world.
The "Right System, " emphasizing isolated individuality and inherent, unchangeable human traits, views humans as trapped in ideologies of sexism and selfishness. In contrast, the "Left System, " by rejecting these limitations, introduces humans as dynamic, choice-making beings with boundless capacities for growth and elevation, whose liberation lies in recognizing and breaking the chains of "exploitative thoughts."The present book serves as an introduction to explaining, analyzing, and expanding this innovative theory.
The author's endeavor is to examine the intellectual foundations and main components of the "Two Systems, " compare it with prevailing views in social sciences and philosophy, and scrutinize the implications and outcomes of each perspective in various areas of individual and social life. The ultimate goal of this research is not merely to understand a theory but to open a path for reflection on the obstacles to human liberation and the possibility of building a more just and humane society.
