Such a major work, after inspiring so many creators and travelling so many universes, couldn't really stop altogether. Besides, out there in the interstellar void, where is the end, and where is the beginning ? That is why Pierre Christin and Jean-Claude Mézières wished to entrust Valerian and Laureline to a few carefully picked authors and artists. Not to continue the saga as such, but for a freestyle rereading of a universe conducive to any interpretation.
After a Valerian brilliantly reimagined by Manu Larcenet, it is Wilfrid Lupano and Mathieu Lauffray's turn to revisit this cult series, in their own way, for a new episode. And when the writer of Les Vieux Fourneaux and the artist behind Long John Silver appropriate this universe, how could the result be anything but mind-blowing ?...
